This piece carries memory, myth, and meaning — something to live with, reflect on, and return to.
In modern understanding, Morana is a goddess of death, the one we have to throw out of our homes come Spring. To me, she is the one allowing Mother Nature time to rest, recuperate and come back in full power. She's the one covering the ground in nutritious mulch before wrapping everything in heavy blanket of snow. She is a protector, a caring friend understanding the overwhelm of the world allowing for silence to fill your ears.
This piece shows Morana's softer side of nurturing those left behind in the dead of Winter.
